the tapper, the head of the family was with my father-in-law, reporting to him of the week's work in the plantation. this is in Arakkulam, in Idukki district of Kerala, the land of my husband's fore-fathers. we then proceeded to our ancestral house two hills away, where our aunt made us black-tea. the children had guavas and local fruits, including the one below.

It all looks so idyllic and appealing. The simple things in life, which we all need to aspire to instead of complicating our lives more and more.
yes, but I don't think we could survive here! really :)
