living

in a rubber plantation, in a quaint little house,

the tapper, the head of the family was with my father-in-law, reporting to him of the week's work in the plantation. this is in Arakkulam, in Idukki district of Kerala, the land of my husband's fore-fathers. we then proceeded to our ancestral house two hills away, where our aunt made us black-tea. the children had guavas and local fruits, including the one below.
